The US Department of Justice is considering revising the regulations of the Americans with Disabilities Act to create accessibility requirements compliant with level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.

The department has issued an advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM) regarding changes to website accessibility requirements. It is inviting comments on the potential impact and circumstances surrounding the proposed regulations.
