Audio description on ABC iview now available on FreeviewPlus

The trial of audio description on the ABC’s iview, which commenced in April, has now been extended to FreeviewPlus. Previously, it was only available in iPhones, iPads, Android devices and desktop computers.

FreeviewPlus is a service which delivers a host of free-to-air channels via broadband to an internet-connected TV, along with access to the various networks’ catch-up TV services.

Two hours of audio described programs are being added to iview every day during the trial. To find them, go to iview, click on ‘Programs A-Z’ and select ‘Audio described’. The trial is due to continue until the end of June 2016.
