Pulis is one of three non-profit staff in Australia who won the Connecting Up Australia scholarship for the conference, which will take place from 17 to 19 March. The event promotes international communication with other non-profit organisations from around the world, and interaction with the latest in technological developments.
Pulis said of the conference, “It’s going to be a great chance for Media Access Australia to further our aim of increasing awareness of accessibility in technology. There will be a range of non-profit organisations from all over the world, and it will be an opportunity to gauge what they’re doing and how they’re using technology, in particular relation to accessibility.”
“I’m particularly looking forward to the sessions on web accessibility, including one on HTML 5, which will give us insights into some of the challenges faced in achieving web accessibility on an international scale,” she said.
