Now in its sixth year, the free Access All Areas Film Festival celebrates how the joy of cinema can be opened up to everyone regardless of disability. The festival takes movies with open captions and audio description on the road throughout Australia.

The annual film festival is divided into three sections: the cinema tour, schools tour and community tour. Program details for the schools and community tours will be announced shortly but will include ten short, family friendly films.

The cinema tour details have been finalised with the first screening of The Great Gatsby taking place on Monday 2 December at Parramatta Riverside Theatres. Other venues hosting screenings in December include Dendy Opera Quays, Casula Powerhouse and Campbelltown Arts Centre. While open captions are offered at all venues, audio description is offered at Dendy Opera Quays only.

The community and schools tours will see screenings take place outside of Sydney, including regional areas. Media Access Australia will report on the details of the community and schools tours once they become available.

Each festival venue is wheelchair accessible and some have hearing loops available.
