A new video produced by Media Access Australia has been created to promote the upcoming Professional Certificate in Web Accessibility (PCWA). It’s designed to underline the main points and key benefits of enrolling in Australia’s only university-accredited web accessibility certificate for digital professionals.

Five students accessing technology via a laptop and a tablet computer.

The PCWA course highlights video runs for one minute and thirty seconds. In addition to the standard video, an audio described version of this video is also available.

The six-week online Professional Certificate in Web Accessibility course was developed by the University of South Australia and Media Access Australia to teach the essential knowledge and practical skills to make web and digital media accessible to more people.

Students learn Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and advanced techniques to improve the effectiveness of communication for people with a disability or impairment. Upon completion, graduates receive an internationally-recognised qualification in web accessibility.

The next course runs from Monday 22 February to Friday 1 April 2016, with registrations closing on Tuesday 16 February 2016. The cost is AU$2,400 (excluding GST).
