The two-day conference features streams covering access through technology, creative practice, audience development, international collaborations, disability-led practice and community connections. The extensive program features 85 speakers from across Australia and the world.
Importantly the presentation of the conference has strong accessibility credentials around the venue itself and sessions including live captioning, audio description and sign language interpreting. The access is provided in partnership with Arts Access Australia.
“Arts Activated is a great example of how organisations working with people with disabilities, and advocating for others who take into account their needs, must walk the talk. The conference features full access services as standard. The website and conference communications are also promised to meet best practice standards,” said Media Access Australia CEO Alex Varley.
The conference is on 28 and 29 October at The Concourse, Chatswood, Sydney.
