Get involved
As a teacher or student using captioning in the classroom you can do more to expand the use of captions.
- Use captions at home and encourage other students (including those from Non-English speaking backgrounds) to use captions in the school.
- Network with other teachers and students that use captions and share resources and information.
- Tell MAA about captioned DVDs, websites and other useful captioning information for schools so that we can post it on the site for others to use.
- Download the Media Access Report and catalogues of captioned material so that you are better informed about captioning issues.
- If you live near a cinema that shows captioned movies, take the class along as an excursion. Detailed information about cinemas and session times is available via the Accessible Cinema website.
