Specialist support teachers provide a vital service within schools for students who are Deaf or have a hearing impairment. There are a range of organisations and interactive hubs which are valuable for teachers working with Deaf or hearing impaired students.
The Renwick Hub, developed by the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind (RIDBC) Renwick Centre is a collaborative space for teachers of students with special needs. The hub is designed for educators to share resources and join like-minded groups of interest. There is a specific Classroom Access Project page within the hub, which is available to the public.
The Hearing Hub is a hub for research on hearing impairment and associated language and speech conditions, developed by Macquarie University.
