This Review of Special Education, 2010 – Public Response Summary, from the Ministry of Education, Special Education in New Zealand was released in August 2010. It provides a thorough summary of the public responses to a government produced discussion document on special education, and includes a variety of suggestions for the improvement of special education considerations. 

The Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001 is the primary piece of legislation from the United Kingdom regarding appropriate provisions for the education of students with special needs. It provides specific information about the expectations placed on schools in the education of students with special needs.

The website of the United States Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs’ Individuals with Disabilities Education Act,contains all of the information related to United States policy and regulation related to students with sensory impairment.
